FREE MAINTENANCE SERVICE BY NIKKO HELMETS
Nikko Helmets is giving you free maintenance service for the life time. We will not charge you with maintenance services. You will pay only for the transportation fees and parts of the helmets if they are replaced with the new one. If you refuse to pay for the replacement, we will not replace the parts and you will receive the helmet with the same old parts.
WHY DO YOU NEED MAINTENANCE?
A helmet will change and lose effectiveness over the course of its life, and there are several reasons for that to occur. With time the helmet liners become loose and dirty, visor/shield get scratches, vents break and maybe you lose breathe deflector and chin curtain over the course of time.
Here, at Nikko Helmets, you will get a free maintenance service where we will either repair or replace all bad ineffective parts with the new one. You will be charged 30% less than the actual MRP for the new parts.
SERVICES COVERED UNDER MAINTENANCE
We cover following services under maintenance
Polish of the helmet shell
Checking the rigidity of the strap lock
Cleansing (air or water) or replacement of the liners.
Repair or replacement of the Helmet Visor
Repair or replacement of the Sun Shield
Repair or replacement of the Vents.
Repair or replacement of the Chin Curtain
Repair or replacement of the Breath Deflector
Repair or replacement of the Head Accessories
We have right to reject any services depending on cases/circumstances. We give free maintenance only to the customers who had purchased the helmet from our authorized dealers/authorized online sellers.
TRANSPORTATION FEES
The transportation cost for sending the helmet to the service station and receiving the helmet from the service station will be borne by the customer.
PARTS BILLING
We will charge you for the replacement of the parts. All the parts will be charged at the factory discount price of30% off from the MRP. You will get GST Invoice for the replaced parts. We will begin the service only after the replacement charges shall be paid by you because if we change the parts and later you deny the payment, we will have to put the old parts back. This will cost us unnecessary time.
HELMET EXPIRY
A lifespan of a motorcycle helmet is 5 years though many manufacturers say 7 years.If you use it daily, the lifespan of the helmet can become as low as 3 years. The motorcycle helmet life depends on how often you use your motorcycle, what weather or climate condition the helmet had faced, how the helmet is stored inside your home or outside the home when you are ride to somewhere and haul. The most important thing is how often did the helmet meet with a crash.
While helmet expiration may sound strange to inexperienced riders, most experienced motorcyclists know and understand the importance of replacing a helmet before its time. The construction of helmets, while suited for impact and lessening the effects of head trauma, make them impermanent. While the outer shell is durable and resilient, the EPS lining is biodegradable and will not last forever.
We do not cover any expired helmet under free maintenance. We will recommend you to buy a new helmet.
SERVICE BOOKING
To book the maintenance service at Nikko Helmets, send us an email at[email protected] by attaching the photos/video of the helmet. Write ‘MAINTENANCE’ as the subject of the email. We need photos/video covering entire helmet. Attach the email with GST Tax Invoice for the helmet. Send us pictures of ventilators, visors and sunshield. Take the picture of the liners by removing cheek pads and head pads out of the helmet. After you remove the liners, take the picture of EPS inside the shell. We need all the photos/video for judging whether the helmet falls under maintenance or is expired already.
You will send your helmet only after you receive the approval from our service team through email.
